An Interview with Cortez III

continued...

LM: When was the most stressing moment of your being PLO?

Cortez: First semester. When the fresher's just came in. Sometimes I felt so overwhelmed. Some students would call that they are in Faculty of Administration and they don't know the way to Law. Some call that they don't know the way from 1000seater to Amphitheater. It was really stressing. Busy round the clock, from general challenges to Individual challenges but I'm happy now, my people are guided.

LM In retrospect, what would you have done differently as PLO?

Cortez: No course for that!

LM: Tell us about your family... Especially Mama R.. What is the R?

Cortez: That will have to be the only question in another interview. MamaR remains the sweetest and that angel on earth. Bae should wherever she is be prepared of being jealous. Yea, truthfully, MamaR golds me and whatsoever I am or become is a testimony to be channeled to her. I love her and she's number 1. The R is just my peculiar way of addressing her in words.

LM: What do you want the Luminaries to do differently?

Cortez: Well, words can't sufficiently commend the Luminaries in their intellectual stand however I have to say that a man can't be perfect all round. I will just implore the Luminaries to employ an amicable medium of settling internal clashes. "All are born equal and no one should be more equal than the other"

LM: Any thing you would love to say...

Cortez: Of course, I only want to encourage an upright mind. Justice to the cause of posterity, that which hunts the grave and beyond. Whatsoever a man becomes should be a subject of environmental transformation. No interview is rather complete without due accolade to TEAMCORTEZ, that a come-together of ladies with intellectual masculinity and gentlemen with unalloyed perspicacity. I love you guys and as always, we remain loyal to the course and duly obliged in our bid to "Creating Big Minds In Small Bodies" and "Emancipating Neophytes Off The Shackles Of Ignorance".

God Bless IFELAW Luminaries.

God Bless IFELAW.

LM: Your favourite colour, dress and food..

Cortez: Let me say quickly that I'm not so much of a fan of all these favorite colour, dress or food. My best colour is that which looks nice on me and my best food is that which comes my way when very hungry (even if gaari). *chuckles

LM: Your favourite type of car. I have dealt with quite number of cars in line with my business but I must say my Engineer won't forgive me if I have a special preference other than MAZDA products.

LM: Which sort of girls are your type?

Cortez: Not thought of that extensively but then as a matter of fact I have an inherent like for ladies who have a good sense of humor, dresses, nice, polished English, among others.

LM: Who is your best friend?

Cortez: Omodaratan Kayode Moses popularly addressed as KAYWHY.

LM: What was your most lucky moment?

Cortez: That moment I made the decision of studying Law.

LM: Where do you see yourself in the next 15 years?

Cortez: At the topnotch of the Legal Profession. An established Legal Practitioner and of a surety, I'd still be learning.

LM: Who is your role model within and outside the LSS?

Cortez: Back In Secondary school after reading Barrack Obama's "Audacity of Hope", I have been his constant follower. Indeed, he's a worthy role model. Within LSS, I have quite a number with different peculiarities from each, Hon. Justice Oyewale Bamise Faith (JHL) has been a model for quite a number of years, Pastor Jerry of CLASFON has always pulled me in his charismatic dispositions. Ayansola Oluwaseun Joshua (Lord Sage) has been a model of mental and verbal dexterity and many others unmentioned. They've been helping in my bid developing myself

LM: What is the LSS getting wrong?

Cortez: We are LSS, what is wrong is that which we know rightly as a wrong path but still threading on such path.

LM: What is your individual political ideology? Democrat, Liberal, Socialist or what?

Cortez: As much as I'm a strong advocate of the three, I'd admit to be more of a Liberal

LM: How do you intend to impact the world?

Cortez: I have for a long time subscribed to the philosophical position that everything that exists come from the mind. The problems out there are largely premised on individual actions. Only if we could all have a polished heart and stand firm to only that which is right then the world is already a better place. Remember, we all have our world as opposed to the global world and in my capacity, I'd remain strong in the advocacy of Justice and as Lord Denning advised, total abstention from all rule of law which might impair the doing of Justice.
